Stairs...
We woke up really early, because Yuki woke us up. It was 5:45. We had coffee and croissants on the terrace overlooking the beautiful scenery. Bruce lives in a little village in the mountains, 10 km from Nice. It was warm and sunny and I felt great.
After breakfast we took a boat to a small island with an old cloister. Only monks live on the island but you can visit it and spend the day there. Really, really beautiful. We took a stroll around the island and then had dinner in a garden restaurant. We drank and ate a lot.
Later Conny dropped her Leica and trashed it. It almost fell into the sea, there were like 2 inches missing, so in a way she was lucky. Still, she was devastated. I know the feeling, I've been there a few times...
After leaving the island we went to a little village in the mountains. Very pretty, but a tourist spot, all about money. Sad.
But then another highlight: a small restaurant in another village, one of Bruce's favorite and an insider tip. Fine food in a lively, typical French restaurant.
We finished the day at home, drinking a couple of beers.
